Im not an Akshay Kumar fan *at all* (I find his movies too mindless) but Ive noticed that in recent years Akshay Kumar has generally starred in movies with excellent soundtracks (Khiladi 786, Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbaai Dobara, Rowdy Rathore, Action Replayy & Housefull 2). This time, however, I was sadly dissapointed. Not one of the tracks lived up to my expectations. Get this album only if you are a die hard Akki fan (and then maybe question your taste in actors..)
Boss: Catchy chorus Ill admit. I hate the overly farmer accent of the singer (Oh wait, its Honey Singh-uh). Bit like a demented don in a Punjabi khet. Hmm. Ok next.
Hum Na Tode (Vishal Dadlani): Nice instruments. Screechy vocals. Don’t like. Sorry, just not my cup of tea. It’s a lot of noise , with no space for breating. Ouch!
Pitah Se Hai Naam Tera: Sonu Nigham & Meet bros weave some classically inclined magic here. Atleast to open with. As soon as Mr Nigam starts, I went off this track. Cliched, patronising and extremely cringe inducing.
Party All Night (YO Yo Honey Singh): Lets face it, this is the most popular song from this movie. Beats me why. Its not Honey Singh’s best from any angle. It’s a blatant copy of LMFAO's 'Im sexy and I know it' . Having said all this, it’s a pretty good dance track and would sound great on the dancefloor mainly because of the retarted pronounciation of pardeeohllnaitee by Mr Singh plus the bass is nice. Gurgaon gets a shout out in the track by honey singh, I guess because that’s where the majority of his fan base is located.
Har Kisi Ko- Slower rocky track remix of an old bollywood song from Jaanbaaz with Srivedi ,blah.
Boss entry theme- trumpet loaded, this track can only be picturised on Akshay Kumar or maybe Salman Khan and not look ridiculous. Headache inducing.
Boss remix- it sounds just the same as the original. By that I mean its noise.
Har Kisi Ko 2nd version- A more acoustic version , sounds much better than the other one.
